God's Holiness is not dependent upon anything in humanity. God is Holy from before creation. God is timeless, He does not change, and therefore His holiness is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
What happens when the holiness of God comes into contact with creation? The earth shakes and people see their sin.
Where does sin come from? Why do we sin? Why do we want to sin? What is the impact that sin has on the individual person and creation?
Salvation is not by works and yet there is a call to holiness that none of us is capable of fulfilling. What are we to do? Rest and trust in Jesus who fulfilled the Law on our behalf.
